物見が合っていない面はとにかく使いずらい。
目線の真ん中に面金がこようものならもう最悪。
試合の一瞬、一番大事なときに物見が邪魔で前が見えない。そんなことで一本取られたら悔やみきれません。
物見の一段上から前を見たり、一段下から前を見たり。。。。
上目遣いになったり、下目遣いになったり、、、これで悩んでいる人も多いと思います。
そして、このまっすぐ前を向いたら面金に視界を遮られるという状態が「立ち姿」にまで影響してくるのです。
これは使っている本人には分かりませんが、横から見てるとすぐに分かります。
物見が合っていない面をつけていると、面が傾いているんです。。。
特に昇段審査を受ける人は要注意、自分で気が付かないだけに怖いですよね。
この間こんな話がありました。僕の地元で六段、七段受審者のための講習会を行ったんです。一人目の立ち会いが終わった瞬間、お招きした八段の先生に「●●さんは、面の物見があっていないですよ〜」って注意されてました。
意外に思われるかもしれませんが、六段、七段の高段者の先生方でも物見が合っていない先生は多いです。特に年配の先生方には多い気がします。（若い高段者の先生は結構気にしてるように思います）
昔は面の物見を合わせて買うなんてことはありませんでした。身体に防具をあわせるではなく、防具に身体を合わせるイメージだったと聞きます。
